Join the Friends of Springtown Preserve to on Wednesday, August 8 to learn more about what makes this ecosystem so unique. We will meet on the trail that borders the Preserve, walk along the trail to learn about the Livermore tarplant, Deinandra bacigalupii, and other rare and endangered flowers that grow in the area, and why the Livermore tarplant is found no other place on Earth. We will view the plant in bloom.
The event will run between 6:30 and 8:00 PM. Burrowing owls, hawks, meadowlarks, and other birds might be seen. Bring binoculars if you like.
Wear closed toe shoes. No dogs, please.
Location: The event will stage from the path near Broadmoor Street and Bridgeport Circle. (See location on Google Maps.)
